The
night started off well with a free pint from Youngman - could it
get any better?
Ulster came out and tried to play
rugby in a miserable night. More importantly the forwards looked
interested and only Ferris appeared to loiter about
in the backs (to good effect), the rest getting stuck in.
Paddy Wallace gave
us a glimpse of how good he should be with a scintillating break
from his own 22, Tommy Bowe took it on to the halfway
line where he offloaded to Maxi who streaked home.
The weather literally put a damper
on the rest of the match. Edinburgh's Scott Murray
drove over from close range but three Wallace penalties
kept Ulster in front and they didn't look comfortable for the last
20 minutes.
FRU Man of the Match goes to Tommy
Bowe who looked comfortable at fullback and always looked
dangerous on the ball. |

The Hound jumps Ardmhic and
second place is up for grabs going into the last week.
Kimble as expected wins the overall title -
due to his good form in the Magners League. There's
some consolation for Ardmhic as he's this years
Heineken Champion and the Six Nations
is tied with Bruised Plums and Setanta
the Kings of the International scene.
We are, honestly, trying to organise an Awards Evening
in August and hope to get a couple of players to turn
up to present the awards so check back here or the usual messageboards
throughout the summer.
Thanks to everyone who has taken part this year and look forward
to another competition next year.

Dear Sir,
On perusing your organ I noticed a remarkable resemblance between
erstwhile movie star Wallace of Wallace and Gromit fame and the
fat grinning media tart Dewi Barnes.
Are they by any chance related?
As Holywood Mike would say, "the Ulster public has a rite
to know!"

Yours etc.,
Stormin Norman.
