Lions Diary Day 11

Ferris Out of Tour.

Absolutely gutted for the big man but he tore the medial collateral ligament in his right knee in training earlier today and is out of the tour. I’d just finished packing my bag ready for tomorrows departure, came down to check if there were any developments with the Ulster coach and find out the big man is banjaxed. I know it’s nothing compared to how Ferris is feeling at the minute but it has taken a bit of a shine of our trip and no mistake.

If he had stayed fit I reckon he would have been benching for the first test and then starting in the second. At least he can bow out of this tour saying he scored in every game he played in. Small consolation I’m sure but he will be back!
