Lions Diary Day 12.
Sharks 3 Lions 39
Well, we’re finally on our way. We stopped off at Drogheda on the way down to Dublin Airport to watch the match.
It just doesn’t seem the same with Ferris not involved. We spent most of the first half shouting “Ferris would have scored from there” as the Lions spurned chance after chance and even though Ferris wasn’t supposed to be playing in this one. But it was the sort of game he would have loved. Lots of possession for The Lions, he would have had a field day. Certainly the Lions needed someone to break through the dogged defence and Croft was disappointing.
O’Gara was another to have a disappointing game as was O’Connor, could it be that the Lions Captain picks up a technical injury this week as the Lions seem to play so much better with O’Driscoll in charge.
We arrive in cape Town late tomorrow night so look out for a more exciting update then.
