Clinton Schifcofske (born November 10, 1975 in Moranbah, QLD) previously played rugby league for the Parramatta Eels and the South Queensland Crushers before the club disbanded and he was signed to the Canberra Raiders where he eventually finished his rugby league career. His position of choice is at Fullback.
After 10 years in Rugby League, Clinton crossed codes at the end of 2006 on a two-year deal with the Reds.
A gifted athlete, Clinton had played soccer until he was 16 before taking up league.
His agile footwork, speed off the mark and accurate goal kicking made him a valuable acquisition to the Reds in his debut season and also led to his selection for Australia A in the Pacific Nations Cup.
Last season Clinton scored 104 points for the Reds in 10 Super 14 appearances, kicking goals with a success rate of almost 80 per cent. In his first match for Australia A he scored a personal tally of 23 points with a try, six penalties and two conversions.
He has openly spoken about this being his last contract and was torn between staying where his family is comfortable in Brisbane or making the most of his final pay day.
